Built as a vacation home in 1890 by S.D. Styles of New
York City, this wonderful old home has survived and maintained
its proud tradition to grace and hospitality.
In the
19th century Richfield Springs was a resort and spa haven for
the rich and prominent drawn here to drink, inhale, and bathe
in the sulpher springs, known as the "Medicine Waters" to cure
all ills. |
Summerwind, our Queen
Ann Victorian, boasts 6,000 sq.ft. with 19 rooms set on three acres
of rolling lawn, and stands proudly visible on Route 20. A period
wrap around porch invites you to relax perhaps with morning coffee
or enjoy the evening sunset.
 Our inviting downstairs parlors are
always accessible to our guests.

Overnight guests can relax in one of five bedrooms, and
enjoy our wholesome breakfast specialties in the formal dining
room, which might include fresh brewed coffee, chilled juice,
fresh fruit, thick slices of homemade cinnamon-raisin french
toast with pure NY State maple syrup, pecan belgian waffles,
omelets with spinach and feta cheese, artichoke quiche, or
toast with hazelnut butter.
You may also
consider your next bridal or baby shower at Summerwind amidst
the warmth of our historic victorian splendor.
| Our accommodations
are also available for retreats and bicycle group tours and trails.
Our location is within a short drive to Cooperstown's
Baseball Hall of Fame, Glimmerglass Opera House, Holy Trinity
Russian Monastary, and Madison Bouckville Antique
Fair.
